Nunique was created by a small team of designers and entrepreneurs passionate about out of this world costumes and next-level glamour. We empower all creators, from the DIY Cosplayers to the glamazons of Instagram, to special FX mavens – and we are proud to cater to them all.
We align our priorities with our community of shoppers, and offer accessible style that celebrates experimentation and invites connection. We seek to empower people to reveal all the things that make them uniquely fabulous. We combine seasoned craftsmanship with high-quality synthetic hair to sculpt unique wigs for any occasion. Halloween may be our favorite holiday, but we believe any reason is a great reason to play dress-up.
Each person is essential
NU HQ is based in the wonderfully weird Seattle, WA. Nested in the lush Pacific North West, we are surrounded by innovators in design, technology, and outlandish lewks. We bring together extensive research and daring concepts to ensure we are continually perfecting our product and anticipating The Next Big Thing.
Our modern manufacturing facility, based in Bangladesh, handles our design and perfects our ideas. We combine seasoned craftsmanship with incredible engineering to create styles that go beyond copies and find unique innovations. Each of our coworkers is essential, it takes many hands and minds to create one wig. From concept to product, we can produce a new style in just two weeks. Our ever-growing work family is dedicated to getting the style you need done right!
Crafting with care
We believe that the best looks are sustainably made, so all our wigs, costumes, and accessories are cruelty-free. We choose to manufacture our own styles because that’s the best assurance that our products will be up to our standard. In our factory we use cutting edge engineering to create synthetic fibers that have the luxury of human hair with a cruelty-free guarantee. Our ethics go beyond the creation of our products; we practice equity from the manufacturing floor to our leadership teams. Everyone deserves the opportunity to grow and our teams are structured to create pathways to success.
Let’s end wig waste
Instead of creating thousands of new products and housing them in our warehouse, we use a made to order system. Our made to order policy allows us to craft products as their ordered. Though it requires more effort from us, it enables us to minimize the number of our products that end up in landfills. We also use a dynamic shipping system to cut down on our fossil fuel use. We know that there is so much more we can do to be a greener company, that’s why we are continually implementing new techniques and partnerships.
